# Launching Apps

> Open published and shared Juno apps quickly from the Home Screen, Spotlight, Siri, widgets, and share links.

Apps you publish and apps other people share with you appear in **Shared**. Open them there, or use an iOS launch surface for faster access.

## Add an app to your Home Screen

You can add a shortcut for a specific app to your Home Screen for one-tap access.

First, publish an app or open a Juno share link so the app appears in **Shared**. Then:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Juno's shortcuts">
    In Juno, open **Shared** and tap **Open Shortcuts**. You can also open the Shortcuts app and find Juno there.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose an app">
    Open Juno's **Open App** shortcut and select the published or shared app you want to launch.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the shortcut details">
    Open the shortcut's details menu, then tap **Add to Home Screen**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Finish the Home Screen icon">
    Optionally choose a different name or image for the icon, then tap **Add**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

The icon now launches that app directly in Juno. Repeat these steps for each Juno app you want on your Home Screen.

<Note>
  Apple controls the final Home Screen step, so Juno cannot add the icon automatically. See [Apple's Shortcuts User Guide](https://support.apple.com/guide/shortcuts/add-a-shortcut-to-the-home-screen-apd735880972/ios) for Apple's complete instructions.
</Note>

## Use Spotlight or Siri

Juno makes the apps in **Shared** available to Spotlight and Siri. Search for an app by name in Spotlight, or ask Siri to open it in Juno.

The suggestions you see and their order can change as iOS learns which apps you use most often.

## Add the Juno widget

Add the Juno widget to your Home Screen for quick access to recent apps. The small widget opens one selected app, while the medium widget shows up to four pinned or recently opened apps.

To choose the app shown in the small widget, touch and hold the widget, tap **Edit Widget**, then select an app.

## Open a share link

A Juno share link opens the published app in Juno and adds it to **Shared**. After that, you can return to the app from **Shared** or any system launch surface you configure.

## Use the web launcher

If you cannot use Juno's Shortcuts integration, open the app's share link in a browser. The web launcher attempts to hand the app off to Juno each time it becomes active.
